Intellectual thought Essay Example for Free
Intellectual thought Essay An intellectual is a person who primarily uses intelligence in either a professional or an individual capacity. As a substantive or adjective, it refers to the work product of such persons, to the so-called life of the mind generally, or to an aspect of something where learning, erudition, and informed and critical thinking are the focus, as in the intellectual level of the discourse on the matter was not high. Jacques Barzun, a French-American intellectual.Ã The intellectual is a specific variety of the intelligent, which unlike the general property, is strictly associated with reason and thinking. Many everyday roles require the application of intelligence to skills that may have a psychomotor component, for example, in the fields of medicine, sport or the arts, but these do not necessarily involve the practitioner in the world of ideas. The distinctive quality of the intellectual person is that the mental skills, which he or she demonstrates, are not simply intelligent, but even more, they focus on thinking about the abstract, philosophical and esoteric aspects of human inquiry and the value of their thinking. Traditionally, the scholarly and the intellectual classes were closely identified; however, while intellectuals need not necessarily be actively involved in scholarship, they often have an academic background and will typically have an association with a profession. More broadly, any work of the mind may be termed intellectual property, whether or not its content is intellectual in the sense covered in this article. Intellectuals include not only philosophers, interested in epistemology, but also others in the arts and sciences, plus the humanities, with no boundaries as to fields of study.

The story of ââ¬Å"Unwindâ⬠revolves around three main characters that are all scheduled to be sent to a harvest camp and unwound. Connor is a sixteen year whose family believes that he has caused too much trouble in society. Risa is a ward of the state, and due to budget cuts, is too expensive to be kept in the program. Lev is tithe, and individual that has been born with the purpose of being unwound. Connor one day discovers an unwind order in the house and decides to run away. With the help of an honest truck driver, Connor manages to slip away. However, Connor keeps his cell phone and the tracker inside gets him caught. The police attempt to arrest Connor but he resists arrest, runs through the traffic on the road, and grabs a tithed to use as a human shield. This event in turn causes a bus full of state home wards to spin out of control and overturn. Risa is one of the individual on that buss. Risa, Connor, and Lev all run into the woods. The next morning, while the thre e are gathering supplies such as food and clothes, they come across a storked baby on the door step. Due to past experiences, Connor decides to put all three of them in risk and decides to pick up the baby while a police car slowly passes nearby. Risa, Connor, Lev and the baby all get onto the school bus in hopes of not being suspected by the police car. Once they arrive at the school, they find the nearest bathroom and hide in it with the baby. Lev sees this as an opportunity to escape. As a tithe, he believes that it is an honor to live with the purpose of being unwound, so he finds his way to the school office and turns himself and Connor and Risa in. The explosive liquid is being taken out from his blood stream and his uncle is applying for guardianship. Flipped Classroom Essay
A flipped classroom turn upside down is a personalized and interaction time of the whole class. Teachers and students should be engaged along the process. Modifications are always a way of improving and making it a better learning environment for all. Ask Yourself: How to do you prepare to flip your class? After reading contexts, watching web broadcasts and taking an overview of lessons. Educators can start by eliminating long lectures of instructions, wasteful worksheets and journals. We can replace them with the use of iteration, partnering and sharing and practice. Letââ¬â¢s take a look at iteration: Remember writing the Anticipatory Set on the board and getting students to answer. Well remember time wasnââ¬â¢t one your side to get all feedback from your students: To get the attention of your audience, well through iteration, you can text, post short videos, or FB the Goal and send it to all the students in class. After this, you would normally put The Do Now assignment on a SmartBoard or on the overhead projector. Well the partnering stage fits in when you allow the feedback from your studentsââ¬â¢ response. They also get to see other student comments while they are posting. This is a form of blogging. You can also suggest picture uploading on the assignment or sharing a short you-tube video that restates the topic and other suggestions. Hey did I mention during this time they are sharing information and partnering while they are browsing other comments or suggestions from their peers. Flipped classrooms are not just the using of technology. We are cutting down the time of elaborating of boring teacher lectures, eye contact, reading boring books that the teacher handpicked for the classroom. The Pros about flipped classrooms. 1. The students are taking responsibility for their own learning through collaboration with their own peers. If you are allow the public to view, your class is learning from others who either implemented the lesson and can get a whole perspective from others around the world. 2. The teacher gets instant responses on creation of lessons. This allows others to either give constructive criticism or modified ways on lesson taught. Again feedback is a way on improving the lesson and including different styles on new platforms or applications. 3. Absenteeism, Not a problem for the students at home. They can easily join in at the time allowed for the postings. Remember, it is not a 45 minute class to them at home. They have time to catch up on discussions and also give their feedback without missing the assignment. Remember in the studentsââ¬â¢ frame of mind, NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND! Finally, Dates and postings are always there for clarity. The content is permanent and archived for review or remediation. Remember you eliminate the need for ââ¬Å"What did you say? â⬠or ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t remember that you said itâ⬠. This is the future a place where all your students are learning at their pace.

The Cloud Of Cloud Computing - 1073 Words
Introduction Cloud computing is a general term that describes a type of computing that provides services over internet. The roots of cloud computing starts from a concept formulated by J.McCarthy in the 1960, the utility computing or the idea that computing could be organised as a public utility such as water or gas. This concept with many others such as network-centric-architecture and grid-computing can be found under the umbrella of cloud computing (Marinescu, 2013). Nowadays cloud computing can be found in different services like emails, network storage (DropBox, Google Photos, iCloud, SkyDrive), document and file collaboration tools (Google Docs, Office 365) are entirely based on Cloud computing. Cloud computing history Evenâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Fig.1 Cloud delivery models and responsibilities Infrastructure as a Service The cloud provider manages the physical part of the infrastructure: servers, networks, storage systems, Hypervisors (or Virtual Machine Monitor, VMM). The user is able to create Virtual Machines (VMs) and install an Operative System (OS) and applications of his choice. IaaS is considered one of the most flexible type of delivery model because it offers a good level of freedom, comparable to a local architecture, as the user has a free choice of what type of technology to use in every VM. The drawback is that the instances need to be configured and managed. Platform as a Service The PaaS model is particularly oriented towards developers, who need to run their applications without having the need to configure an entire network architecture of VMs and manage multiple application updates and upgrades. This delivery model allows developers to manage only their code and the data structures, everything else (runtime, OS, VMs, VMMs, networks,...) is then managed by the cloud provider. Software as a Service The SaaS model allows the user to use an application provided by the cloud provider, like a software application installed with the only difference that the application is delivered through internet.
